Dr. Sahar Mohamed is a clinical oncologist. Her career started right after graduation from Kasr el Aini Medical School, Cairo University, Egypt. During her fellowship at the pathology department at Barrett Center of Oncology in Ohio, USA she studied the immunohistochemical profile of metastatic breast cancer and completed her MD thesis in 2000. She was specialized in breast cancer as well as in lymphoma and haematology. She has been working closely with cancer patients and their families, as well as community outreach programs raising the awareness about cancer research and the necessity of screening as well as recent treatment modalities. Currently, she is a MSc candidate of Anatomical Sciences in the Department of Biomedical Sciences at Queen’s University. Her passion for cancer research is limitless. Her aim is to use her resources in the community to connect people and raise the community awareness about the on-going cancer research and its importance in screening and prevention of the disease.
